We had a great time celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first race in 1973.

Featured in the People's Choice Award Parade at the end of the Race was
Foley's Folly, originally raced in 1985 and many years after that - a sculling boat design that won all the races it entered. It was in the water Sunday with the same 1985 Alpenrose milk cartons it raced with so long ago! The sons who raced the boat brought their children to ride it this year!

     PADDLE TO PREVENT HUNGER
Alpenrose will donate 2,000 gallons of milk to the Sunshine Division over the next several months, equal to the number of milk cartons used to create all boats that raced this year.
Sunshine Division was on site to receive non-perishable donations at the Race.

NEXT ADVENTURE! donated a paddle for the winning boat in each class!

The Royal Rosarians Milk Carton Boat Race offers a Sunday filled with family-friendly entertainment and some spirited competition. Children and adults race and show off handmade boats that float only using recycled milk cartons and jugs. We invite you to come and enjoy the fun next year!

Location: The Casting Pond in Westmoreland Park, SE McLoughlin Blvd, and Bybee Blvd,
7700 SE 22nd Ave., Portland Oregon
