Date: Friday July 4th, 2025
Time: Recommend arriving no later than 8:30am to prevent traffic stops
Location: Gene and Sue Horton's place, 434 NE Birchwood Dr. Hillsboro, OR 97124 - See below for directions.
Attire: Full whites, hats, gloves, capes (Green jacket/black pants for newer members without white uniform) Don’t forget your sunscreen!
Please sign up for the Parade and the 4th of July Purely Socials (Coffee and BBQ) separately, so we know how many to expect for both events.
The Horton's home is located inside the circle of the parade route, so if you park on Birchwood, you will not be able to leave before 12:30pm. If you need to leave right after the parade, park on NE Delsey Road or the streets just off Delsey. This area is near the start and finish of the parade, with a relatively easy exit from Hillsboro.
Directions from Portland:
Take Hwy 26 to exit 59-Jackson Schools Road. Turn left on to Jackson School Road and travel for 2.2 miles. Turn right onto Evergreen Road and travel for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Jackson School Road and travel 1.5 miles. Bear left onto 5th Avenue, then immediately turn left onto NE Grant Street and travel for .02 mile. Turn right onto Birchwood Drive and travel 0.1 mile to arrive at 434 NE Birchwood Drive.
If you're arriving from the South, please come around to approach from the North. You will save yourself time and aggravation.
