Start saving your milk cartons for the
ROYAL ROSARIAN MILK CARTON BOAT RACE
on June 25, 2023!
Hosted by the Royal Rosarians
and Sponsored by Alpenrose  
 
The Royal Rosarians Milk Carton Boat Race offers a memorable day for participants and spectators alike. Children and adults race and show off their handmade boats that float only by means of recycled milk cartons and jugs.
 
Creatively crafted watercraft compete to have their name
on the coveted PEOPLE'S CHOICE MILK CAN TROPHY.

Join us for a Sunday filled with family-friendly entertainment and some spirited competition. We invite you to come and enjoy the fun! 
 
Location: The Casting Pond in Westmoreland Park,
SE McLoughlin Blvd and Bybee Blvd in Portland
 
Racing categories this year: 
▼ Children Ages 7-12: single racer, 2-person, 3-4 racers
▼ Adults Ages 13 and up: single racer, 2-person, 3-4 racers
▼ Family/Multi-rider: One child/one adult (2-person only)
 
Alpenrose will provide up to 50 free half-gallon cartons to all participants. Containers are available for pickup through June 17th, while supplies last. Locations for carton pick-up are being organized.

Plan to register & make your own Milk Carton Boat or cheer for your favorite contestant.
 
Rules, Regulations, and Boatbuilding Information will be posted soon on this site along with more information on the details of the day’s events as we complete arrangements!
 We will post the Race Application here on March 1st, 2023 for you to enter the contest!

5 simple steps to participate:

1. Read the Rules and Regulations
2. Design & name your boat
3. Have ALL riders register online and sign a waiver
4. Email the waiver(s) to the committee.
5. On race day, bring your boat, paddle, life jacket, and enthusiasm (check-in and inspection open at 10:00 am)
